Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Aside app ("Aside"). By using Aside you agree to them.

1. The service

Aside helps you block distracting apps and run focus sessions using Apple's Screen Time frameworks. Aside requires your permission to use Screen Time and works on iPhone (iOS 16.4+).

2. No account

Aside has no login. Your data is stored locally on your device. You are responsible for your device and any backups.

3. Subscriptions (Aside Plus)

• Aside Plus is an auto-renewable subscription offered in weekly ($4.99/week) and annual ($39.99/year) plans. Pricing is shown in the app before purchase and may vary by region.
• The annual plan includes a 7-day free trial. If you don't cancel before the trial ends, you'll be charged for the annual subscription.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Manage or cancel anytime in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.

4. Acceptable use

Use Aside for your personal focus and wellbeing. Don't attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, or misuse the app.

5. No guarantee of blocking

Aside relies on Apple's Screen Time system. Blocking behavior depends on iOS and may change with system updates. Aside is a wellbeing aid, not a security product; we don't guarantee that every app will be blocked in every situation.

6. Disclaimer & liability

Aside is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of Aside.

7. Changes

We may update Aside and these terms. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
