Blocking isn’t working

Open Settings → Screen Time and make sure it’s on. In Aside, go to You → Fix blocking issues and tap Check again. Blocking requires a real device (it doesn’t work on the Simulator).

How do I choose which apps to block?

On Home or in You → Apps set aside, tap Choose apps. Apple’s system picker opens — pick apps and categories. Aside only sees how many you picked, never which ones.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Go to the iOS Settings app → tap your name → Subscriptions → Aside, and cancel there. Your Plus features stay active until the end of the billing period.

I subscribed but Plus isn’t active

Open Aside → You → Restore purchases. Make sure you’re signed into the same Apple ID you purchased with.

I need to unlock during a session

On the focus screen, tap “Need an emergency unlock?”, choose a reason, and confirm. You get a few each day; they reset at midnight.

Will I lose my streak if I reinstall?

Focus history is stored on your device, so reinstalling clears it. Your subscription can always be restored with Restore Purchases.

Do detox challenges complete automatically?

Session-based challenges (like Focus Sprint or Deep Work) auto-complete each day once you finish a matching focus session — no need to tap anything. Other challenges use a simple "Mark today done" button.

How do I change the app language?

Go to You → Language and pick from English, Spanish, German, French, Portuguese (Brazil), or Japanese. Aside also follows your iPhone’s language automatically on first launch.
